Rover Ruckus

Sally Ride
Named after the first American woman in space, Sally Ride was our first robot to be made almost entirely out of fabricated, especially laser cut, parts. With this robot we were able to qualify for Worlds (under the Inspire award) and at worlds we won the Motivate Award.
Outreach
We worked with CoachArt, a non profit that works with kids with chronic illnesses and hosted two four week coding clubs. We also hosted multiple design panel reviews with engineers from JPL, UCLA, and USC.
Partnerships
This season we were partnered with FIRST Ladies, which works to empower women in FIRST, and LGBTQ+ of FIRST, which creates a safe space for LGBTQ+ students in robotics. We were also sponsored by Wix, Glowforge, and Studio Printing. We really appreciate all of our sponsors!
Team
This season our team consisted on fifteen members ranging between tenth and twelfth grade.
